The legendary animator, Hayao Miyazaki, has a documentary releasing in select theaters December 18th. The impact Hayao has made on myself and other creatives is boundless.
Shoutout to whoever made this. Creating with intention is not easy. Creating in general is. Making with a purpose and finding the best way to execute that on your terms is not as EASY as people think it is. Typically when I have gotten a lot of feedback on an illustration or a design I will ask whomever is doing the critiquing for an example or a reference. More often than not, I find myself not receiving an answer (that is substantial). Knowing Why is crucial.

The lyricism of Vampire Weeekend always appeared as an audio movie to me. Ezra’s imagery has a way of making me feel existential thoughts that I enjoy feeling. Einstein said “Reality is an illusion, although a persistent one”. This persistent illusion appears to morph. The reality of our consciousness in a dream state is an interesting scenario. We go from one illusion to another, to and fro. Is it real if we aren't conscious of it tho'?
“In essence, the artist can arrive to the conclusions e’s made by studying what he perceives and understands. The conclusions her arrives to lie in the middle of these two concepts. While not always satisfied with the results of his own conclusion, ihe is aware t’s most important to build as you grow.”
