Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays

This Holiday Season thus far has been one for the books.  Currently I am in VA (mostly home) and was previously in DC with my girlfriend Charlee.  Highlights include delicious food and seeing the amazing film, American Fiction.  Later this month I will write my own review about American Fiction.  I will say that it's caused me to reflect on my own frustrations as an artist, particularly with the gatekeepers of creatvive opportunities that enjoy telling me where my work belongs.  It's important to just make what you like as that is how barriers shatter.

It can be a challenge to not feel the bittersweet wave of nostalgia that can hit you when with family.  I've been reminded of where I come from, how far I've come on my creative journey, and how far I still have to go.  2024 will be about consistent productivity and worldwide outreach to both galleries and publications.  I'll be sure to note my experiences here in my blog as I am aiming to reach out to approximately 200 companies and venues.

'Till next blog post, Peace.
