The Colorado Black Arts Festival was everything I hoped it would be. Despite the 90-degree heat at Denver’s City Park, I stayed cool, grounded, and grateful. Saturday started slow, but as the day went on, curiosity drew people to my booth—and that alone was rewarding.

It’s been two years since I last participated, and returning with new artworks and merch was both exciting and vulnerable. Putting your imagination on display isn’t easy, but hearing people call my work unique—and watching parents invite their kids to explore my art—meant everything. Every conversation, every glance, every sale reminded me why I do this.
All my customers this year were new faces, and I’m proud to say I offered something for every price range—from fine art to affordable products. I left the festival with a profit and, more meaningfully, 23 new subscribers who want to follow along on this creative journey. That support is invaluable.
Thank you, Denver.
